Love our Wild Venison Salami and looking for an exciting job opportunity? 

Gathered Game produces a traditional dry aged Wild Venison Salami and is seeking a processing and packaging assistant. You must be reliable and trustworthy, physically fit with the ability to lift 20KG boxes and keen to learn the traditional craft of dry ageing salami. Good hourly rate and flexibility available for FULL or PART time shifts.

Job tasks include:

• Meat preparation, cutting and mixing
• Hanging and monitoring dry aging salami 
• Cutting, sorting and packaging 
• Labelling and organizing boxes for shipment 

This role requires someone both physically strong (for lifting) yet fast and accurate (for packing). Training and job development will be provided with the ability to take on greater responsibility over time. Ability to learn the ins-and-outs of a small artisan production business. 

A successful applicant will have the following: 

• Reliable transport to and from work in Lumsden 
• Ability to listen, learn and think for yourself 
• Physical ability to stand most of the day and lift heavy items
• Comfortable dealing with raw meat
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol screen
• Clear criminal history
